About Eric
I am the New York District unanimously endorsed candidate for Kiwanis International Trustee in Denver this July. I have been a member of my home club since October of 1983. I am also a Charter member of the Centennial eKiwanis Club, formed in January of 2014 originally composed of members of my 2014-2015 Class of Governors. That club has grown to be the largest in its home Pennsylvania District.
I served West Seneca in all the club positions, including Distinguished President in 1995-1996. I then served as LtG Elect and as a Distinguished Lieutenant Governor in 1999-2000. I also served as “President of the Board”, which in NY is the elected leader of the LtGs. I served again as a Lieutenant Governor in 2012-2013 and was again elected President of the Board.
I was elected Governor Elect in New York for the 2013-2014 term, and subsequently served as the 2014-2015 New York Governor, one of the late President John Button’s “Brigade” of District Governors. I am especially proud that each of the six new clubs we opened that year remain active and serving their communities! Since serving as Governor, I have concentrated my Kiwanis efforts in Membership Growth and New Club Opening, serving as my District’s Chair and then as the Formula Northeast Region Chair, attending a number of club growth efforts.
50 Years of Service!
In addition to serving as Kiwanis District Governor, I have been a KIAR, Assistant Administrator of Circle K, First Assistant Administrator of Key Club, K Kids District Administrator, District Convention Chair (twice), local Chair of the Circle K International Convention held in Buffalo, HOBY District Chair, and Sponsored Youth Alumni District Chair.
I am a proud recipient of Circle K International’s “Outstanding Alumni” Award. I hold a Centennial Zeller, George F. Hixon, Carthage Pullman Award, NY Kaiser medal, and am a Diamond level NY Pediatric Lyme Foundation medal recipient.
Prior to joining Kiwanis, I am a former Key Club member, serving as a local Club Officer and as a NY Lieutenant Governor.
I am also an Alumni of Circle K, having served as a Charter Club Secretary, District Secretary, New York District Governor (where we were the first Circle K District to exceed 1000 in membership) and as International Vice President of Circle K.
In addition, I am co-founder and President of the New York District Circle K Alumni Association.
GROWTH = MORE SERVICE
GROWTH is the Key to our Future!
Kiwanis must continue to ENCOURAGE GROWTH
- ESTABLISH a Program of “Member to Kiwanian to Kiwanis leader” training!
- Encourage Growth in both existing Clubs and new Clubs
- Develop better Member education resources to our Clubs
- Work to improve the “Club Experience.” The CLUB is and should remain the most important part of Kiwanis!
Unwavering support for our Sponsored Leadership Programs!
- From K Kids to Builders Club, Key Club, Circle K and Aktion Clubs. “No reductions in Programs!”
We must demand Financial stability through streamlined and Careful spending, While not “gutting” important Events & Training!
In Kiwanis, FAMILY means EVERYTHING!
“Rejoice with your family, in the beautiful land of life”, -Albert Einstein
I believe my wide range of experience in the K Family makes me an excellent choice to serve as a Trustee on the Kiwanis International Board.
